What verticals are next for online lead generation in the UK?

After working in legal services lead generation for three and a half years, I was looking forward to joining the LeadPoint team and diversifying my experience in different verticals. After I started in May 2010, the first thing that I picked up was the sheer scope of online lead generation and its increasing importance; people are looking to buy leads for literally anything!
I am lucky enough to be the product geek of the LeadPoint family so I get to research and build all the new lead verticals. This can be anything from bariatric surgery leads through to pensions and investment leads and it means I get to speak to all sorts of interesting people on a daily basis.
Just the other day I had a call from a college that was looking for education leads. The significance of this was that they would have normally just bunged an advert in the local paper or used PPC but now they are turning to lead generation and LeadPoint to find out how they can buy qualified leads for a better return on investment.
The second thing I have noticed is the dynamic nature of the online lead generation sector. Take ad:tech for example. I had two incredibly busy days talking to lead buyers and sellers about new product ideas but the most exciting part for me was that whatever the opportunity it didn’t take long to find a way to do business. I would speak to a buyer in the morning about a new lead vertical and by the afternoon a seller would appear who was already producing these leads and we can just connected the two parties together through our lead trading platform.
As more and more digital marketing spend goes into online lead generation and our sector continues to establish itself as a way to get the transparent ROI that clients and agencies want, I for one am looking forward to building the new products that will enable this growth!
